NASBE is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals in 4 topic areas, plus the opportunity for a combined proposal that joins two or three of those topics (RFP #5 Connections).
1. Common Core State Standards ($3,500)
2. Next Generation Science Standards ($4,000)
3. Deeper Learning ($4,000)
4. School Leadership ($7,500)
5. Connections (a combination of two or three of the above)
The proposals are due to NASBE by COB, Wednesday March 12, 2014 to boards@nasbe.org. The first four RFPs are identical in their formats. A state board may be able to connect two or three of these topics areas together for greater impact. RFP #5 “Connections” allows for that.
So a state board may:
1. Apply for one, two, three, or four of the RFPs #1 through #4 as individual stipends.
2. Apply for a combination of two or three of the RFPs #1 to #4 by filling out the individual RFPs and RFP #5.
Applications for a Connections stipend will give the state a competitive advantage over those states that apply for individual stipends. There will be up to three connection awards granted. It is highly recommended that if you are planning on applying for a Connections stipend, you conceptualize how the work around the multiple topics will fit together prior to filling out the individual stipend RFPs. Applying for a Connections Stipend will not prohibit the consideration of your individual proposals by themselves.
