Many states will implement new assessment systems this school year as part of either the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (Smarter Balanced) or the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC). Setting cut scores and benchmarks for student performance is a key part of this process. On Monday, October 27, 2014, Michael Bunch, Vice President, Measurement Inc. and Joe Willhoft, Executive Director, Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, participated in a webinar to illustrate how the Consortium is making these important decisions.
