2:00 pm – 4:30 pm – Preconference Session: Henry Doorly Zoo 

• State board members will learn about the Henry Doorly Zoo’s acclaimed Zoo Academy and its unique partnership with school districts in the Omaha area to provide students with knowledge and career explorations relating to life sciences, fully aligned to state standards. State board members will walk away with key insights on policy and regulatory ideas to help establish such a program in their states. There is a small fee of $35/person for this session.

6:00 pm – Chair’s Opening Reception at Henry Doorly Zoo 

• Buses will leave the hotel at 5:45 pm.
